I dont feel there are enough youth in my area to warrant such a park. If there are, then I would be concerned about the cost of Liability Insurance and adequate Law Enforcement for roudiness. Will such a park attract undesireables such a drug dealing and pedophiles to our neighborhood. We should encourage our local Church and Social groups to come up with program to help our youth.

hey concerned... maybe the reason they stay indoors is becuase they don't have anyplace to go and hang out outside without creating problems. Personally, i see a lot of our nieghborhood kids in the street skating, and around warren on the back roads on boards. why should this be limited to kids 10 and under? this would be just as well for teens or anyone else that skates. and maybe they would use a board if they had someplace they felt they COULD go instead of the road. Closed mindedness is killing any oppertunity this community has at re-inventing itself in a new image.

Good idea, just keep a police officer close by.

I say this is a waste of the tax-payers dollars. I would venture to say that less than 5% of the youth in our community ever put on skates or use a skate board.

In fact, most 10 year-old children today can't even ride a bike, but they can play the*****out of a Playstayion or Game Cube.

If you want to cater to the youth in our communities your going to need to drag them away from their televison and video games first. Then and only then will they discover that there is actually a community out there.

ANYTHING that benefits our youth is not only needed, but helps to instill a sense of community in the young people of our city, as well.

this is something that has been needed for a very long time. would have been nice to have while I was growing up here. I see countless kids skating in the streets now, they need a place for themselves out of the traffic and off the roads.
