This economy is getting worse,as long as we, the U.S. are depending on foreign oil,we are going to get raped at the gas pumps. For all of the suv owners, you can pat yourselves on the back for helping the big oil companies' profits soar like an eagle. I think that a lot of people drive large vehicles such as SUV's to compensate for a lack of endowment. But hey, that's just my opinion.

The middle east promised to kill the United States economically - well guess what they are doing just that. We have oil here, lets use it. Break treaties that promise our oil to China, Japan, etc... and use it here. Also the environmentalists have ruined this country, it is a lot cleaner than it has ever been, global warming is a scam, wake up people!

As for SUV's mine gets 30 MPG on the highway, pretty darn good. So people in Hybrids and SMART cars please stop flicking SUV drivers off.

Itt is if they do not get 50 mile per gallon in all vehicles.

Does anyone remember the 70's? Government said we had a shortage of gas, so people sold their big cars and went to compacts and sub-compacts. Of course, there was not a shortage but it scared people into buying smaller. Now? We have gas prices soaring and no relief in sight, why are we selling our oil to Japan from Alaska? Last time I checked, Alaska is one of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Turn the dang pipeline around and bring it TO us not AWAY from us. We don't need oil from other countries, we have our own.
