Lena Scaramuzzino

AUSTINTOWN - Lena Scaramuzzino, 97, of Austintown died early Thursday morning, July 3, 2008, after a short illness.

She was born Oct. 10, 1910, in Italy and came to America as a young child. She was the daughter of Joseph and Jennie Cafiso Poidmore.

Lena was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown.

Her husband, Carmelo ''Billy'' Scaramuzzino is deceased.

Survivors include a son, John, with whom she made her home; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Angeline Poidmore.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Scaramuzzino; two brothers; and two sisters.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service at The Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, Boardman. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008 at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
