Cavs-Wizards rivalry hasn’t lost its luster
By the time tonight’s Cavaliers home game against the Washington Wizards comes on at 8 p.m., you’ll most likely have a pretty sound idea of which of your Christmas presents you like best, and which are destined to collect dust in the back of the garage. But before you make up your mind, consider today’s final gift. As the Cavs prepare to defend the league’s best home record (14-0), a gift-wrapped DeShawn Stevenson and the rest of the Wizards will take the floor for some well-deserved holiday heckling. After Stevenson opted to call LeBron James “overrated” prior to start of last season’s first-round playoff matchup, a series of absolutely ridiculous stories sprung from the dispute, as well as a highly competitive series in which the Cavs prevailed, 4-2.
