Events should be more friendly to disabled
DEAR EDITOR: I want to praise the organizations responsible for such events such as the Mahoning Valley Rib Burn Off. But I also want to hold those same organizations responsible for making such events very difficult to service those who are handicapped and have impaired mobility. The events do not provide ample handicap parking near the entrance. All I wanted to do was to purchase some ribs, but getting to them was too difficult. Even after entering the event, you have to stroll past numerous other vendors in order to get to the ribs. When attempting to locate parking, I found that after driving down a length of parking areas, I found myself trapped with no exit and had to turn around and come back out against the actual intended flow of the traffic.
